In Davie County, a $10.2 million contrac was awarded to the divisionjof Inc. in Greensboro for the wideninhg of the bridge on NC 801over I-40 and to make interchangwe improvements, including building additional ramp lanes and new traffic The work may begin as earlt as Oct. 29, with final completion set for Nov. 1, 2009. The Thompsojn Arthur division was also awardeda $1.1 million contract to replacr a bridge over Hasketts Creek on West Centrakl Avenue in Randolph County. That project can also begin as earlyuas Oct. 29, with completion scheduled for 15, 2008. Inc. won a $2.
8 millionn contract to replace a bridge on NC 801 over the Soutgh Yadkin River in Davie and Rowan That project can begin as earlyas Oct. 29, with fina completion scheduled forJune 1, 2009. Co. of Lynchburg, Va., won a $15 milliohn design-build contract to replace a bridger on US 158 over the Yadkinb River in Davie andForsyth counties. Work on that projecr will begin as earlyas Oct. 29, with finapl completion scheduledfor Oct. 1, 2010. In addition to the road the board of transportationawarded Inc. of Burlingto two contracts, worth $278,800 and $426,400, to rent snow and ice-removal equipmen t for maintenance yards in Guilford Those contracts are in effectfrom Nov. 1 to Oct.
31, with a five-year renewable option.
